Here we are, at the beginning.

At the beginning.... ? Well, it is certainly not the beginning of Jardin du Soleil, but rather the beginning of ME & JARDIN DU SOLEIL.

My name is Mallory. I just started working for a lavender farm in Sequim Washington, called Jardin du Soleil.

Here's a snippet about the farm and location from our website...

Jardin du Soleil is a certified organic lavender farm, cradled in the rainshadow of Washington State's Olympic Mountains. The farm is located on the Olympic Peninsula four miles north of "sunny" Sequim, Washington. The certified organic lavender farm was planted in 1999 on land that was part of a dairy farm established in the 1880's. Victorian gardens, ponds, fruit trees and lavender fields encompass the landscape with the Strait of Juan de Fuca beyond. Thousands of lavender plants on 10+ acres create a wonderfully fragrant vista.

Sounds great right?

At first I started visiting this magical farm only to bring my husband lunches, or coffee (we are in Washington after all). But Jardin was so captivating. The fragrance was alluring... the rows of organic lavender pouring over the hillsides was inspiring. I don't know why I waited so long before visiting.

Thank goodness my husband works as a gardener and appreciates hot coffee or tea at anytime of the day!
